What Are Comps? Why Do I Need Them?

Comps or comparable titles are needed when querying your manuscript. They provide editors and agents with an audience, genre,  and sales potential. They also become a way for editors and agents to pitch your work to people who may not be as familiar with it as they are - say sales reps, publicity, etc.

Based off either your manuscript, if I'm editing it for you, or your synopsis and first chapter, I will provide a few options of books and/or media that fit your work and how. Ultimately, you will choose what best suits your manuscript, but these suggestions are aimed to improve your pitch.

Pricing

All comp research will go for a flat rate of $25. If you are booking my services for more than comp research, I'm happy to work out a package deal!
